Back to School and LOVE Japan Event!

September has been a wonderful month for our family in Japan! The weather is beginning to cool down just a little bit (praise the Lord!), the girls are back in school, and our good friends the Farmers have just arrived! Japan is beginning to feel more and more like home, and we are so grateful for that. What an honor it is for our family to serve here.
Hannah's return to school began with a little bit of trepidation but she warmed up quickly and is learning so much! She is really enjoying school. We are so thankful that she has made friends and is beginning to understand what her teacher is saying to her!
Abigail had no problems returning to school. She loves her teachers and friends! She is the star of the show and boy does she knows it! This girl has so much character and energy! We are so proud of her courage and eagerness to acclimate to such a different culture from our own!
Josiah & his buddy, Kyuma, have been busy exploring the city!  They recently went to the Nagoya Transportation Museum and learned all about the history of Nagoya's public system!

Lately, everyone at our ministry, Christ Bible Institute (CBI) have been actively preparing for a huge event we have coming up next month, LOVE Japan. The event will be 3 days, in 3 cities, and with Christian leaders speaking from 3 countries (U.S.A, Korea, and China). Below you will find a Japanese flyer of the event. For more info, you can visit the event website at: http://www.lovejp.org.

This is a huge opportunity for many Japanese to hear about the love of Jesus for the very first time. As a ministry, we feel so blessed to have the opportunity to plan for an event like this. But, with an event this size comes a lot of preparation. Would you begin praying over this event now? Will you pray for the Spirit to move and for God to be glorified through it? Over the coming days and weeks, you can especially pray for all of the people working around the clock to prepare for the event. Here are names of a few people you can pray for by name:
  • Takashi
  • Yasuyo
  • Ayako
  • Haley
  • Darcy
  • Brett
I cannot wait to send updates from all God does through LOVE Japan. Your prayers are very much appreciated and needed. We know that this would not be possible without them. As always, thank you so much for all your prayers and encouragement.
